Say what you will, the woman is having books written about her. What Meghan Wants would be a good title for the next book. I’ve gone deeply into his life.’ Nelthorpe-Cowne was left in no doubt that Meghan had carefully researched every aspect of Harry and his past life. quote As Meghan carried on whispering with excitement, Nelthorpe-Cowne (Meg’s agent) interrupted, ‘Do you know what you’re doing?
quotealthough maybe he was tiptoeing around the Gleason/Tony issue And he really put her in chicken road 2 a corner about his wanting her to play Lovett; both had to be thinking that she’s been too old for the role for many years now. (Understandably in some circumstances; it was 4 decades ago.) Wish he had asked her to talk about working with the cast, although maybe he was tiptoeing around the Gleason/Tony issue.

quoteNancy hasn’t tweeted anything about her father’s last wife OR Barbara Sinatra. She loves Peter Fonda, George Takei and Rob Reiner. Distrusting Barbara, the Sinatra children should have instructed Rex to inform them of his imminent death. Frank was in and out of the hospital several times near the end.
Completely forgotten is WAIT TILL THE SUN SHINES, NELLIE a Technicolor Fox film of starring David Wayne and Jean Peters. It’s a charming little comedy with terrific performances. I always have loved “Max Dugan Returns,” with Marsha Mason, Jason Robards and Donald Sutherland. Sometimes “Mary” gets overwrought.
The rest will stay mum either because it doesn’t serve their interests to tattle or they fear a lawsuit (good reason given this pair’s history of litigation). Tina Brown’s book was similarly damning, though it contained no new source material. He addresses all the greatest hits—tiara-gate, passive-aggressive war with Kate, etc.—from a completely defensive crouch, which is what guilty people do. I found Scobie’s book on them completely damning.
But if someone in your family is narcissistic, borderline, an asshole, or an autistic person — it helps to learn about the disorders in order to cope better. And then wrote textbooks and treatment protocols. I’d highly recommend his books on the subject! But also they’re beset by jealousy because inside they’re not happy and it’s not fair that other people are, dammit!! All of the people you listed made their mark on our culture.
The movie is showing signs of age, but Hamilton’s performance is still surprising and powerful. Given what R236 posted – “Annie Hall is a timeless film, unlike The Turning Point” – your comment seems Point-less. quoteThe Turning Point is hardly “timeless”
I wish someone would give her a really great role again. I agree with others that her performance is exceptional. JoBeth Williams is definitely one of the most overlooked performances Osar-wise. I was only 5 when it came out and I wonder if there was any talk of her getting nominated at all. R291- One of my favorite performances ever is JoBeth Williams in Poltergeist. The kids were great and understandably pulled all the focus, but she really anchors the film.
How to Start Playing
Can’t believe people ever found him attractive. But make no mistake, they need money, or they will soon have to accept a serious lifestyle downgrade. He has seen the writing on the wall, ie, the total suppression of his Uncle Andrew, and knows that awaits him if he returns to the UK, with or without his family in tow.
The author has described his modus operandi (he has written 25 books, the most recent being a scandal-free biography of Simon Cowell) as “find the victims”. “This much-trailed account of the Sussexes’ split with the Royal family is a catalogue of awful behaviour – but it seems slanted and rehashed.” The Telegraph is not exactly Markledom, but it’s review of the book was mixed and rating just 2/5 stars.
A thinking man’s mob movie. quoter15 Topsy-Turvy from Mike Leigh really takes you into the world of Gilbert and Sullivan. I’ll watch this any time I see it listed. Olivia DeHaviland was also well cast as the awkward, homely girl that falls for Clift and later comes into her own. Sir Ralph Richardson was perfectly cast as the cruel father.
And they could use her salary to hire more interesting people quote I think she was so successful and a fan favorite on that show because she was playing against type. Or have her come back in the early 2000s with a SORASed Matthew Dixon, who was connected to half of the cast but never brought back. Lisa Brown made the sad sack character of Iva interesting. In real life his name order is just reversed.

“”Midnight Run” (1988) starring Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin is one of my favorite buddy movies. For comic book adaptations, the Wachowski’s Speed Racer is fathoms better anything that Marvel/Disney has released to the present. If you love her that much, you might want to learn to spell her first name correctly. quoteI hate to make such a blanket statement, and this is the only actress I’ll do it for, anything with Gene Arthur.
Barbara Sinatra is dead to me.
Miss big, fat movie star! quoter100 THE CONVERSATION – with John Cazale and young Harrison Ford. And a family drama/tragedy that is Aristotelian in scope.

She was one of the finest actresses ever in daytime. She was one of my daytime favorites. Such a departure from her GL role. Still, she never seemed “right” for the Iva role to me. Martha’s tribute in that Digest link is lovely.
TV characters that ruined shows
- Great cast and one of Paul Mazursky’s best films.
- THE STRANGER is a great film too.
- Why’d Tom Skerritt leave the film?
- The only time Mia didn’t seem like an irriatating waif.
She couldn’t then invite them because it would appear odd to Harry to invite people she painted as abusive. But, I think she lied to Harry about her family (and other things) to make him feel like a white knight. All the same, she should have invited him and her other family to the wedding purely from a strategic standpoint.
- One of my absolute favorite movies that has flown under the radar for way too long.
- But it is also true that attempts to undermine the Sovereign or direct heirs to the throne are still on the books as High Treason.
- I guess they felt Madame was too young for the role.
- A surreal, darkly comic chase movie set amid Stalin’s purges, following a member of the goon squad looking for redemption.
- Because in real life you don’t need to be irresistible to cheat or be found attractive or have a sex life.

People are alway giving them excuses because BPD people are usually charismatic, charming and good in bed. These people ruin lives but their enablers will always point to some event that made them that way. Because young children are incapable of seeing adults as individuals apart from them. Your feelings, life experiences, etc. don’t matter.
Great film performances that shockingly were not Oscar nominated
This sounds like stunt casting to me, with the LS producers taking their cue from the Weisslers, although Jinkx was much better suited for Mama in CHICAGO. I love that the photo they’re using of Jinx for the Little Shop press release is 20 years old. I guess they felt Madame was too young for the role.
God people post stupid shit. They would do a performance or “sponsor” an event but not give any of their money. I love the fact she “ran” a “charity” yet the Sinatras never gave one dime to it.
R235, she won because Annie Hall is a timeless film, unlike The Turning Point and Julia. I think Diane Keaton did good work in both films, but looking at the competition, I think it was more about she edge out the others by splitting the vote. Or perhaps it’s the harrowing ending that turned people away, but there’s also a string of nominations for playing murders too. She did get a nomination later for 45 Years but I think she has a better role in the first film.

She’ll never do it but she should write a book. BTW this isn’t a Gary Morton told Lucy story… (She was hot off of The Jazz Singer at the time.) Another role Tuesday Weld turned down.
